can benefit from Art Therapy?
Art Therapy can effectively treat clients experiencing developmental, medical, educational, psychological or social impairment. Art Therapy can also benefit persons with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD/ADD), and adverse physical health conditions such as cancer, traumatic brain injury and other health disabilities.
No artistic skills are necessary since creating imagery is a language inherent to all individuals.
Everyone has the ability to express emotions, feelings and thoughts using their inner language of imagery.
The art therapist guides the client to constructively analyze their resulting artwork in order to gain insight and awareness, improve functioning, and restore a sense of personal well-being.
